Bug Fixes
Optional Downloads
This is an alpha version. Some features are still in progress and will be replaced / added and there is some balancing to be done. I will count on feedback to rebalance the troops, since I don't have enough time to both playtest and develop. The few scenes are currently a real prototype, since they have no walls due to accuracy purposes. If sieges work correctly, I will stick to that and keep working on other ones, if not then its back to walls. Some troops may be too strong (though they are intended to be harder than native). Please report any bugs in the appropriate thread.

NOTES:
A few observations regarding accuracy and the alpha release of TPW / PP:
The corinthian helmet might be favored over the latter and more accurate pilos, for aesthetical reasons;
The Scythian Raiders are currently a placeholder for Illyrians, that will be added in the future. The former will turn into raiding parties and no longer a faction.
'(..) for we can deduce from a number of references that cuirasses continued to be used well into the peloponnesian war.'
N. Sekunda, A. McBride. The Ancient Greeks, pg.14.
Despite the small timeframe gap subject, everything is meant to be as accurate as possible. The references are the classics, coinage, Mr. Sekunda's work (Osprey), excavated material researches, articles and advice from Mr. Stefanos (ΙΣΤΟΡΙΚΕΣ ΣΕΛΙΔΕΣ magazine author/researcher), and a few others. If anything is out of place and went unnoticed, feel free to give me a heads up.
Planned features for the beta release:
Slingers
Multiplayer Support
More scenes
More horses

New Faction: Illyria
Faction polishing with a few more items, some of them replacing the current ones for better accuracy
New, expanded troop trees

Almost any game with a modding community will eventually see some heavy duty overhauls. It's natural for people to want to improve things when it comes to a game that the community enjoys so much. Mount and Blade: Warband is immensely popular among the player base, which has shown an incredible dedication to the mods produced for this game.
Mount and Blade: Warband doesn't have the overwhelming number of mods that games like Skyrim or Fallout have, but there's plenty of content to make up for it. Most of the mods are focused on entirely new campaigns, which change characters, factions, and even whole new maps.
Nome: Age of Mythology Mod. Tamanho: 25.0 MB. M&B Warband 1.143. This is a mod about the confilct between the Greek city-states and the Persian Achaemenid Empire in the years 495-479BC. The mod takes place in 485BC, between the Battle of Marathon and the Battle of Thermopylae. I announce our already-started team's project as a Total Conversion Mod for Warband. We have been making progress in Models so far and especially about different kind of creatures. We are planing to release a beta as first which will feature only 3 Greek Gods and 3 Norse Gods which are Zeus, Poseidon and Hades against Odin, Loki and Thor.
Here are some of the best mods that have come out for the game recently.
A World of Ice and Fire
Modder: produno
Starting off with a big one, A World of Ice and Fire is a mod based on G.R.R. Martin's book series, A Song of Fire and Ice. The new world gives you the opportunity to step up and take the Iron Throne for yourself, ruling Westeros however you see fit.
The mod includes Westeros and Essos, the appropriate factions for both continents, and even the Whitewalkers. With all the options this mod gives you, it would be well within your ability to raise an army and kick in the teeth of your least favorite characters from the show or books.
The mod was well received by the community and currently holds an average rating of 9/10. Minor complaints were noted with people who experienced some bugs, but the hype surrounding this mod paid off in a big way.

Star Wars: Bear Force 2
Modder: Bad Name Studios
For those of you who are more interested in science fiction, this Star Wars mod has provided quite the overhaul and focuses on Mount & Blade's multiplayer gameplay. It's still in its early stages, but already includes Jedi and Sith characters and factions from both the original trilogy and the prequels.
Its most promising feature are the new maps, which the modders have stated will include a lot of new environments. While that would have been enough, the creators decided to go a step further and add in their own custom game modes as well.

Perisno
Modder: Perisno Dev. Team
Mount And Blade Warband Greek Mythology Mod
Perisno is a high fantasy, full conversion mod that has been in development for years. Besides the standard full conversion aspects, this mod boasts multiple races for the player to become as well as more powerful weapons. It is still in development, but Perisno is available to download, so players can check it out now and get a feel for where it's headed.
One of the most interesting things about this mod is the mention of the 'Dreaded One.' The implication being there is some ridiculously powerful enemy wandering around, which would be a fun event for the player.
Age of Arthur
Modder: Lady_Ashwood
For historical fiction with a twist, the Age of Arthur mod can take you back to the Dark Ages. While not officially released yet, there are some major updates in the works -- light magic, historical figures, and raising a family are some of the more prominent features that have been mentioned.
The creators intend to give the player the power to create their own villages and mining outposts, which could be an interesting addition to the gameplay depending on the benefits involved.
War of the Samurai
Mount And Blade Warband Greek Mod
Modder: You Nean
A simple change of scenery can do wonders for a game. And with the War of the Samurai mod, Mount and Blade moves to a more Eastern setting. Sifting through some of the photos, there are a lot of good-looking models for weapons and armor, and new factions with their own banners. There's no release date yet, but the community is eager to see where it goes.

Winds of War: Blood and Steel – 1870
Developer: ImperialGames
While not officially released yet, this mod has some exciting implications to it. Winds of War: Blood and Steel – 1870 takes place in a time period roughly resembling the late 1800's, with updated factions to take advantage of the technology available. They have plans for a number of economic buildings, with their current focus being on the Estates where players will be able to build garrisons and War Rooms to access troops and diplomacy options.
These are just a few of the recent and most popular mods out there. Copy locked files with robocopy using b parameter. There's plenty more to find on both ModDB and NexusMods, and I would encourage any Mount and Blade player to go out there and find something they enjoy. Supporting these modders and their content can only help the community improve.
